In most cases, we use natural and bio-identical ingredients. Our clean, non-toxic formulas are holistic because they do not cause harm to the skin. Osmosis opted not to focus on organic products because we do not think they make lasting changes to the skin. Organic is really important in foods because of the properties of pesticides and the additives otherwise present. In skincare, this is not an issue so there is no advantage. However, there is a distinct disadvantage because they only allow 5% or less of the key ingredients that make real change in the skin. By using natural formulas full of our patented and/or exclusive ingredients, we are doing much more good to the skin.

With Young Goose products, transparency are of paramount importance. YG include preservatives in their formulations to ensure stability and prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and mold, thereby maintaining the integrity of our active ingredients. It's important to understand that unstable formulas can break down over time, greatly diminishing their potency. Using active ingredients without proper stabilization is far more harmful, as they may lose their effectiveness before you even get to use the product.

We want to assure you that the concentrations of preservatives used in our products are minimal and have been rigorously tested to ensure they pose no negative effects on the skin or body. We also test all products for endocrine disruption and make sure they are not disrupting homeostasis.

Among the preservatives we employ are: 

Phenoxyethanol - present in some formulations at a concentration of just 0.1%, which is well below the generally accepted safe threshold of 1%. At this level, it effectively preserves the product's safety, allowing you to fully benefit from our premium formulas, without introducing the risks associated with higher concentrations.

Propylene Glycol and Polyethylene Glycol - We understand that some individuals may be sensitive to these ingredients [which evaporate from the skin and do not absorb into the body] at concentrations around 1%. That’s why we have opted for a micro-dose of 0.15%, which is approximately five times less than what one would encounter in castor oil. This careful selection was necessary to enhance the stability of our NAD+ precursors, ensuring our products deliver both safety and efficacy.

Cyclopentasiloxane - ensures even distribution of active ingredients across the skin. This is especially critical in our C.A.R.E. - NAD+ Boosting Moisturizer, where it facilitates the delivery of high concentrations of actives uniformly, preventing uneven application or varying ingredient concentrations. As with all of our ingredients, the Cyclopentasiloxane we use undergoes rigorous quality control to meet the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.

These are ingredients that are sometimes confused. Pentylene Glycol, found in our Vitamin A treatment serums, is derived from coconut, though ours is bio-identically made. It is non-toxic and not harmful. Zemea (Propanediol), found in Catalyst AC-11, is corn-derived, and has received the ECOCERT seal. It is non-toxic and not harmful. Our bio-identical form of Butylene Glycol used in our Refresh Revitalizing Eye Cream, is the same form found in cocoa butter and the roots of the Common Rue plant. Both Pentylene Glycol and Propanediol are humectants, helping the skin to retain moisture.

Benzyl alcohol is used in small amounts as part of a preservative that meets Ecocert standards and is NaTrue certified. This ingredient is often used to dissolve other ingredients to get them into formulation and evaporates during that process. Sodium Hydroxide is a pH adjuster that improves consistency. It is an antioxidant that is not harmful to the skin. Since this is a potent molecule, it is used in very small amounts. Reports found in EWG or elsewhere suggesting that it is an irritant are describing a 100% solution of Sodium Hydroxide.

Yes, we use sustainable palm oil in our skincare products.

We use a small amount of dimethicone in one product, Catalyst MD. Dimethicone is not harmful to the skin in small amounts (1.5%) because it is too large of a molecule to penetrate the skin. However, in amounts above 5% it can become occlusive to the skin and is not advised. We have to use a slip agent in Catalytst AC-11 because the patented, highly active components in this product are VERY sticky.

Osmosis has revolutionized skincare by delivering ingredients into the deep layers of the skin. By coating our ingredients with a liposome called phosphatidylcholine, product penetration is increased by 600%. This liposome shares the same properties with all of our 'coated' cells. When used to coat ingredients, it naturally enhances penetration into the cell as well as protects it during the liposome delivery.

Our Activating Mists have multiple functions; they have been treated with unique anti-bacterial and anti-fungal frequencies that maintain a healthy probiotic population on the skin. They have also been treated with frequencies that are designed to activate repair as well as being calming, and they have unique active ingredients to promote rejuvenation and energize the skin.

Our stem cells come from carefully screened adult adipose tissue. There are no actual stem cells in StemFactor, just the growth factors they make.

The human stem cells used in StemFactorMD are derived from adult fat cells. These stem cells are transferred to a culture containing specific growth media, where they begin dividing and secreting growth factors. The growth factors and cytokines (over 600 types) are collected during this process, while the stem cells themselves are left behind to continue division and growth factor production.

The acceptable range of Vitamin A while pregnant is 2,500 - 10,000 IU (international units) per/day and 4,000 - 15,000 IU while breastfeeding. When using Osmosis Active A Serums, you will not exceed 300 IU per/day even if using the strongest serum available at 2 pumps 2 times per day. Our Facial Infusion treatment is also safe to receive while pregnant or breastfeeding as it does not exceed 1,500 IU of Vitamin A. Of course it is always recommended to consult with your physician while pregnant or breastfeeding before the use of any active products or supplements.

If your Elixirs is delivered in the cold of winter and is frozen upon arrival, it is still good to use once it thaws. Some heat is okay, but since it is stored in plastic, extended heat is not advised. Do not put the Elixirs in alkalinized water or drink them at the same time, as it will disable it.

Each supplement has its own recommendations or contraindications. Skin Clarifier and Skin Defense should not be used in pregnancy. Skin Defense should not be used during breastfeeding. Skin Defense also needs to be used carefully if you are on medication so make sure the medication and Skin Defense are taken at least an hour apart.

Yes it is safe. We use edible gold from a reliable source, mined in the U.S.

Immune Activator can be used topically if one finds the oil-base version of our ozonized ethyl oleate to be more soothing. It is primarily used as an internal elixir to boost our oxygen fighting capacity that often diminishes with aging. It can be taken sublingually by leaving in the mouth for 5-10 minutes or it can be swallowed. However, if you choose to swallow it, it should be on an empty stomach. Liquids can disable it.
